The Birdhouse was recently lovingly restored and refurbished to an exceptional standard, the beautiful but imposing surroundings give the impression that it sits on the edge of the world. From the doorstep there are numerous beautiful walks to secluded beaches, mountains, rivers and lochans. Native wildlife and birdlife are in abundance. There are plenty of opportunities for munro baggers, walkers, keen photographers, artists and writers. While those who enjoy sea kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wild swimming will have much to see and do.

The Meeting House is only a few yards from the sea, with Kishorn Island and Skye in the distance. Originally built as a school, the building was completely renovated in 2018 to a very high standard of comfort and facilities. Applecross (via the famous Bealach na Bar), Skye, Shieldaig and the Torridon hills are all under an hour away. Kishorn Seafood Bar is within easy walking distance, and the NC500 route passes 1/2 mile away. Small boats / kayaks can be launched in front of the house, walking / birdwatching / photography opportunities are everywhere and the area is an artist's paradise.

The view is uninterrupted over the water to the Isle of Skye - you can relax in the Finnish wood-burning hot tub on the deck and just soak it all in. If you want to explore the area then there is so much to do - for example, enjoy fabulous walking or cycling from the doorstep to view the local wildlife and the iron age Glenelg Brochs, or take the Glenelg ferry over the sea to Skye in the traditional way. The Glenelg Inn is in the village where you can enjoy local fish and seafood, as well as live music and a warm highland welcome. The Green House is quite unique and offers an amazing romantic getaway!

A perfect romantic bolt-hole, Ardoch Bothy is secluded but not remote. Inverness Airport is only 1½ hours' drive and there are several particularly good places to eat nearby. Recently converted, and equipped to a very high standard, the spacious open-plan design provides a cosy and pretty interior and large windows to take full advantage of the outstanding outlook to Skye and the Applecross hills across Loch Kishorn. The sea shore is only a couple of minutes' walk away. This is a stunning property.

Strone is set on a thriving highland estate which extends to 20,000 acres. Recently refurbished, Strone offers very comfortable and stylish accommodation for 4. The area has a rich heritage and there are castles and whisky distilleries to visit and explore. For those keen to be outdoors this is the perfect place to enjoy walking, cycling, golf and a wide range of sporting and country pursuits.

Taighali is a one bedroom upper floor apartment with views over Loch Ewe and the Torridon mountains. The area is renowned for peace and tranquillity, beautiful beaches, every changing light and stunning scenery. Skipper's Cottage is set in a pretty garden with its own burn flowing through to the sea and has stunning views over the Sound of Sleat. You can enjoy a barbeque here whilst watching the odd fishing boat, seal, porpoise or even otter pass by as the sun sets over Skye. Parth Galen Studio is a bright and comfortable and enjoys wonderful views over to Skye and Rassay. The accommodation is centrally heated with the addition of a wood burning stove. It is an ideal base for exploring Skye and visiting all the sights on the west coast. Nearby Plockton is a charming village and there is a good selection of local pubs and wonderful restaurants providing delicious local food.

Gracie's Cottage is a beautiful old traditional cottage, virtually on the sea shore. All the main rooms look out over Loch Kishorn to the Applecross hills. Renovated about ten years ago, Gracie's is warm and very comfortable and is in an idyllic part of the west coast; beautiful scenery and sparsely populated but with a seafood cafe within walking distance, and several other good eateries within easy driving distance. Walkers can walk for miles straight from Gracie's, which is also ideally situated as a base from which to explore Applecross, the Torridon hills, Plockton and the Isle of Skye. Children can play safely on the beach in front of the cottage.

Brachkashie Cottage sits in approximately 2.5 acres with the garden leading down to a private jetty on the banks of Loch Knockie. Included in the rental price is the use of the rowing boat and brown trout fishing during the season. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and furnished and is warm and cosy throughout.
