Gleneagles golf courses and spa are 20 minutes away. Fishing on the local River Allan for salmon and sea trout can be arranged. Walking, hill climbing, mountain biking, even white water rafting are also available within the wider area.

In a fabulous setting, a couple of miles from Kenmore and in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Sky Cottage was the original shepherd s house on the little farm called Achianich. It s a lovely old south-facing stone building, with the most spectacular view east down Loch Tay towards Kenmore. A cosy self-catering country cottage close to the small town of Dunkeld. Very close to the A9, you can easily explore highland Perthshire with the historic cathedral town of Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and Pitlochry closeby and you can buy a fishing permit for salmon fishing on the River Tay. Dunkeld has a great selection of independent shops, restaurants, galleries, a deli, a cosy pub and 'Flora's café' - just a short distance from the cottage. The House of Bruar is a short drive north, just past Pitlochry. Walkers will find stunning waterfalls at the nearby Dunkeld Hermitage, children and adults will enjoy Beatrix Potter exhibition at The Birnam Institute, and everyone can spend time at the osprey hide on the Loch of the Lowes.

The owners can arrange cooking to any level, personal piper, champagne, masseuse, skiing at Glenshee, even your food shopping for you: anything to make your break perfect. Blair Atholl and Edradour Distilleries are within five miles and Blair Atholl Castle and gardens are well worth a visit. This Grade B listed former cattle byre has been fully renovated to a high standard in a superb elevated rural location just outside the picturesque town of Aberfeldy. The large picture-window in the open plan living/kitchen/dining room has lovely south-facing views to the woodland above Dunskiag where you will often hear woodpeckers and barn-owls and see roe deer wandering amongst the trees. The Longbarn enjoys exclusive use of its own inside sauna and also a hot-tub outside from which you can look out to the woodland.
