Nestled in the heart of the Highlands, this gorgeous cottage is totally off-grid so you can fully relax away from the stresses of modern life. Unplug from work and social media and enjoy a digital detox. Kinloch is ideally located to allow you to access to a variety of outdoor pursuits. For the golf enthusiasts, there are a multitude of top class courses in the surrounding vicinity including the beautiful Royal Dornoch and Nairn Dunbar. Within driving distance, there are a variety of castles including Dornoch, Eilean Donan or the famous Urquhart Castle which nestles on the banks of picturesque Loch Ness; in itself a day trip worth taking.
If you are a keen angler, fishing can be provided on the River Alness for both brown trout and salmon (seasonal restrictions apply).
Kinloch sits within the grounds of Novar Estate; upon which there are 150 miles of mountain biking and walking routes, the most prominent of which being the ascent of Fyrish Monument. From the top, there are spectacular views over the Cromarty Firth and beyond.
If your days' pursuits have left you in need of rejuvenation, then why not take a visit to one of the distilleries in the area and sample the local produce. Whether it is Glen Ord, Tomatin or the world renowed Glenmorangie, a nip is sure to warm you up on even the dreichest of Scottish days!

Accommodation:
Kinloch is a wonderfully remote cottage which allows you to unwind away from all the bustle of modern living. It is totally off-grid - there is no TV, telephone or internet (but books and games are provided) so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of your wonderful surroundings, both inside and out.
Kinloch is accessible sometimes only by 4x4 or by parking a little way back and walking the last part.
The cottage's living area (including a four poster bed) is all contained within one room, creating a wonderfully cosy atmosphere especially when the wood fired stove is burning brightly of an evening. Background heat and light is provided by a generator but at Kinloch, less is definitely more. This is the ultimate 'escape from it all' experience.
Directions:
From the south: From Inverness, follow A9 north, over Kessock and Cromarty bridges. Continue on A9, passing Storehouse of Foulis and the first turning to Evanton. Leave the A9 at the left turn to the B9176 (passing the Skiach services). Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles then take the left hand turning signposted Boath. Continue up this road for approximately eight miles until the end of the public road. From the car park, follow the signage to Kinloch.
From the north: Travel south on A9 or B9176 (Struie Road) towards Evanton. If on A9, turn right on B9176 then follow the above directions. If on B9176, leave this road to the right (signposted Boath).
What's included:
Background heating by generator but predominantly wood-burning stove, plenty of logs are supplied.
Bed linen and towels are included.
Well behaved dogs are welcome - 2 outdoor kennels are provided
Cost and availability:
Change over day - Monday and Friday (check in at 3pm and check out at 10am).
Weekend/short breaks - minimum 3 day stay. Off season promotions may be available - just ask!
