Boath Stables
Auldearn, by Nairn,
Inverness-shire
These two fabulous self-catering holiday cottages are renovated to an extremely high standard and located within superb parkland gardens. The renovation of this 18th century property on the Moray Firth has been done beautifully and will immediately appeal to anyone seeking quality holiday accommodation near Nairn.
The cottages are totally self contained, and have both been awarded Scottish Tourist Board '4 star' ratings. They are separated by large oak doors; which is wonderful if you are two families holidaying together as you can open the doors and accommodate up to twelve people between the two properties. For groups or families of four to six people the cottages are equally suitable as individual cottages.
Situated in the heart of the whisky trail of Scotland, there are lots of distilleries to visit nearby. The historic village of Auldearn and superb beaches with sand dunes along the Moray Coast are only a mile away. There is plenty of fishing on rivers including the Findhorn and Spey, water sports on the sea or a trip to The Culbin Forest nature reserve are great days out. For golfers, the closest course is Nairn championship golf course, but there are many other challenging courses in the area within easy reach. You could also explore numerous historic castles, including Cawdor and Brodie which are only a few minutes drive away.
