Ormidale House is a beautiful large historic house with 13 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, three sitting rooms and a billiard room as well as a large dining hall, kitchen and breakfast room. The space and luxurious finishings mean it is ideal for a large family gathering or several families on holiday together. With the three other properties on the estate - about 100 yards away - Ormidale can actually accommodate a party of up to 75 people!

Nestling in 20 acres of grounds, laid out by renowned Victorian landscaper Thomas Mawson at the same time as Robert Lorimer designed the 19th century extension to the main house - with a river, waterfalls, lochen and beautiful woods - it is the perfect venue for a party. There is so much entertainment provided in the house and gardens that you will have plenty to keep children (and adults!) amused - large trampoline, croquet lawn, bouncy castle, and, unusually in a Scottish self-catering house, a heated indoor swimming pool. A tennis court and hot tub provide further entertainment.

This large self-catering house is situated just above the Kyles of Bute, in the spectacular Argyll countryside. Immediate access into the forests and onto the mountains mean this is a fabulous base for walkers. Sailing, golf, fishing, shooting, and stalking of the highest quality are all available locally and there are golf clubs and fishing rods provided. The owners are also happy to arrange other activities such as clay-pigeon shooting, archery, paint-balling or off road driving - just let them know what you would like to do and they will try to organise it for your group.

The house has everything a large group on holiday could need - log fires, lots of entertainment (both indoors and outside), a fabulous estate to explore and numerous places to see and explore nearby. If you don't want to cook on your self-catering holiday then a cook can be arranged or the award-winning chefs at An Lochan, Tighnabruich, will come and cook a celebration meal or two. This is perfect for a luxury break in a country house for a large party.

Ormidale House is a well-laid out, extremely comfortable, light and spacious 13 bedroomed laird's house. It is an ideal place to stay if you are having a large party to celebrate a special family occasion or want a large holiday property to rent with your family or group of friends.

The accommodation has everything you will need for a wonderful holiday. There is an elegant drawing room (with a log fire), a dining hall seating 22, play rooms for adults and children, a luxury large kitchen and beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms offer flexible accommodation: two rooms are set up as twins, three as king-size doubles, and one as a quadruple bunk room. The other seven bedrooms can be set up either as super-kingsize doubles, as twins, or even sometimes as triples. All bar two of the bedrooms have either an ensuite bathroom or a basin. The comfy beds have quality goose-down and feather duvets and gorgeous bed linen.

With a heated indoor swimming pool, private sauna, hot tub, billiard room, table football, air hockey and darts, tennis court, croquet lawn, sunken trampoline, and two TV rooms with full Sky coverage, board games, jigsaws, a dozen bikes, ten sets of golf clubs, football pitch and 20 acres of grounds to play in, there is plenty to do on the estate.

The grounds are stunning, as are the views!
