This property entry is due to expire: The Finlaystone Barns are situated near Glasgow in Renfrewshire at the heart of Finlaystone Estate, which overlooks the Clyde estuary. There are 10 acres of formal gardens and extensive woodlands to explore and visitors can also use the woodland BBQ. The Estate, which is a popular local attraction, also has a small shop, a tea room and a ranger service and is home to the Clan MacMillan Centre. Visitors can easily access a wide range of local places of interest from Glasgow to Loch Lomond, all within easy driving distance.
Many famous golf courses such as Loch Lomond, Royal Troon, Prestwick and Gleneagles are within an hour's drive of Finlaystone and islands such as Bute and the Cumbraes can be visited by local ferries for a day. The world class Ingliston equestrian centre is close by and there are some great walks in the area - you can choose from a gentle stroll to a more energetic climb up the majestic Ben Lomond. Renfrewshire has a varied landscape with rolling green fields, wide open moorland covered in heather, white painted villages and some stunning views.
Glasgow is a renowned as a wonderful place to shop but even closer to Finlaystone is Braehead, a shopping centre with a retail park consisting of over 100 stores. Braehead also boasts Xscape for leading-edge fun attractions: you can ski and snowboard on real snow all year, play golf, football and bowling, climb walls and walk in the air in any kind of weather.

Accommodation:
The East Barn and West Barns are located within a recently constructed oak framed building and are accessed via an external oak staircase. The Barns combine traditional craftsmanship with modern standards of comfort and the space is largely open plan.
Each property has a wood burning stove, sofa, chair and coffee table at one end separated by a screen from the bed and the enclosed shower room. The kitchen area is well appointed and there are little luxuries such as a nespresso coffee machine. The interior has been decorated to a high standard to ensure a modern but homely feel. There is a TV which can be swivelled so as to be seen from most parts of the room. The Barns are very well insulated but electric heaters are installed for all year round comfort.
Outdoors there is access to extensive gardens and woodlands.
Directions:
From Glasgow and the east pick up the M8 going west to Greenock until you get to a roundabout at Langbank. Continue straight over the roundabout, then in c800m you go under a bridge. Take second left after c400m where it is signposted Finlaystone Estate. The Barns are opposite the shop in the centre of the Estate.
From the north, come over the Erskine Bridge and get on the M8 going west to Greenock as above. From other directions it is likely to be cross country so please call for instructions if you cannot get google maps.
