Aberdour is one of Scotland's best kept secrets. It's a haven of seaside magic, Silver Sands beach overlooks the Firth of Forth with views towards Edinburgh & The Lothians, water sports enthusiasts, walkers and families love it here! There is great places to eat out, gift shops, a fabulous bakers and restaurants and pubs as well.
Everything is a walk away, so once you park your car, you don't have to drive again for the duration of your stay ... it's all on your door step. Historic 13th century fortified castle (a fine painted ceiling, a walled garden with a beehive-shaped dovecote, and St. Fillan's Church in the grounds), beautiful terraced gardens, orchards, and exquisite herbaceous borders surround the castle gardens. There is water sports, golf (Aberdour Golf Club is a wonderful 18 hole, par 67 parkland course with stunning coastal views), cycling, relaxing and of course walking The Fife Coastal Path which links the Forth and Tay Estuaries and passes through some of Scotland's most picturesque villages. This part of Fife is well known for its micro-climate - so if you'd like a Scottish holiday and you would like some decent weather, then renting a self-catering cottage in Fife is a pretty good bet!

Accommodation:
A most charming and deceptively spacious terraced cottage. Pleasantly located, very convenient for the beach and all local amenities. Well presented accommodation on two levels. On street level the glass entrance vestibule lead to the hall, seperate WC, kitchen and sitting dining room - which opens into the conservatory overlooking the patio and stunning views toward the sea. The house sleeps 6 guests in great comfort in three bedrooms with a bathroom.
The accommodation comprises on the ground floor level of glass street side entrance vestibule, large sitting room / dining room, well equipped fully fitted kitchen, and conservatory with door overlooking the sea. The sitting room has a large flame effect fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you will need for your self-catering holiday, including oven, microwave and chefs trolley, the sitting dining room has a very comfortable sofa andn two arm chairs, a very large TV, and dining table for 6 guests. The conservatory also has a large comfortable sofa and coffee table.
Up stairs on the first floor there is three double bedrooms one super king and one double with fitted wardrobe and one with twin beds. The bathroom is very spacious with a heated towel rail, double ended bath and separate walk in shower.
Externally there is a lovely private patio with seating area. There is a parking space allocated in front of the property. The cottage is close to the beach - a perfect holiday by the sea!

Directions from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station:
Jump on the train, the direction goes to Dundee Rail Station or Perth Rail Station, and at the 6th stop, that is Aberdour Rail Station. It will take around 33 minutes, then 9 minutes to walk to the property.
Directions from Edinburgh Airport -Tram and Train transportation: Jump on the tram, Direction Newhaven and stop at Edinburgh Gateway, which is the third stop (around 8 minutes), then change platforms and jump on a train, the direction Perth rail station and stop at Aberdour rail station (around 21 minutes). Walk 9 minutes to the property.
