The Bridge House is a beautiful house set within 150 acres of unspoilt landscape on the Broxmouth Park Estate near Dunbar - a lovely town situated on the East Lothian coast. It boasts some wonderful beaches on its doorstep, Belhaven Bay and White Sands and many more in the near vicinity including Yellowcraig, Tyninghame, North Berwick and Pease Bay. They are all within a 20 minute drive, so whether you feel like surfing or just relaxing there are plenty of options.
East Lothian is also a golfer's paradise offering 22 courses for all levels of golfers with many Championship courses. Muirfield which is world renowned and host to the British Open is only 20 minutes drive. The estate also backs onto the Dunbar Golf Club which is an Open qualifying venue and is viewed as one of the best links courses in Scotland.
Dunbar is a great place for families to visit and offers a wealth of activities. There is the East Links Family Fun Park which has animals for the children to feed, train rides and an amazing Fort for them to play on. Dunbar has its own indoor swimming pool with an incredible wave machine - children just love it! Boat trips can also be arranged from Dunbar harbour. It is only a few minutes drive to the Museum of Flight where you are able to take a tour on a Concorde as well as seeing many historic and modern aircrafts. The Scottish Sea Bird Centre at North Berwick is also well worth a visit.
If it is culture that you are looking for then, Dunbar is only 40 minutes by car (22 minutes by train) from Edinburgh which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. In July and August Edinburgh is completely buzzing as it hosts the International Festival, Festival Fringe and Military Tattoo.
The house has been refurbished to a high standard and has a lovely warm atmosphere with loads of style. It has one of the loveliest locations in East Lothian with plenty of parking and large grounds. It is situated right next to a 150 acre wood and overlooks the burn (stream) which flows through the estate. It also boosts a wonderful new 7 person hot tub which is kept at around 40 degrees all year round.

Accommodation:
Broxmouth Park is steeped in history and natural beauty. The park is a wonderful place for walks and a haven for bird and animal lovers. It is not unusual to see a deer wandering past the front door. The house is very private and has its own private drive which meanders through horses and sheep and over a bridge which is where it gets its name. It is surrounded by mature trees and has a lovely patio area with outdoor furniture overlooking a brook. There is a hot tub which is 40c all year round which is a great place to enjoy and relax.
This wonderful house sleeps 10 people in 5 interior designed bedrooms (additional Z beds can be supplied with prior arrangement). It has been decorated so as it has a sumptuous and cosy feeling and is a lovely place for a celebration or for family get-togethers.
On the ground floor is the sitting room which has beautiful comfortable sofas and a cosy wood burning stove. This room has double doors which open out onto the outdoor patio area and hot tub.

The dining room has luxurious silk drapes and a large table which comfortably seats 10 people. There is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a separate WC located on the ground floor. There is also a separate laundry.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Two of the double bedrooms upstairs have ensuite bathrooms. There is also a family bathroom and a separate WC. The master ensuite has a very relaxing steam shower with chromatherapy. The family bathroom is decorated with Bisazza Mosaics and has a large slipper bath and shower.
Directions:
Broxmouth Park is on the A1087, 1 1/4 miles to the east of Dunbar. Exit the A1 where you see the brown sign East Lothian Tourist Trail, continue 200 metres turning right into the driveway between large curved walls and pillars.

Heating is included in the rental price.
All towels and bed linen are provided together with tea towels.
The kitchen comes equipped with all the necessities eg washing-up liquid etc.

The Bridge House is rented out throughout the year.
The changeover day is flexible. Check-out time is 11am and check-in is at 4pm.
