On the outskirts of Ballater within its 1/4 acre gardens, this refurbished, detached, granite cottage provides the opportunity for a relaxing holiday with stunning views of the surrounding hills in all directions. Balmoral Castle is approx 15 minutes away whilst there are many outdoor pursuits on offer within the Cairngorms National Park including salmon fishing on the Dee, numerous welcoming golf courses and, particularly for children, The Deeside Activity Park at Aboyne.

The Mission Hall is a unique self-catering property, situated just a few feet from the shore in the tiny conservation village of Crovie on the Banff coast. It has been lovingly restored using a variety of different recycled materials including the wooden pews and a sense of artistic style pervades the whole cottage. The village itself is accessible only by footpath – or boat. Cars are left in the car park and each house has its own wheel barrow to ferry luggage and provisions! The Mission Hall is a very special place to stay with spectacular views over the North Sea.

It is an original 19th century fisherman's cottage and has been sensitively restored and retains a great charm. It also has modern conveniences as well as an open fire. The area has lots to offer holiday-makers - fabulous beaches, golf courses, bird-watching, fishing, walking, distilleries to name but a few. This is a really lovely cottage by the sea for a holiday in Aberdeenshire.

Arbuthnott House is open to the public and if you are renting one of the estate holiday houses then you can enjoy the gorgeous gardens that surround the house.

Seasonal highlights include the Braemar Gathering.

Balmoral castle is nearby and there is fabulous salmon fishing on river. Perfect for walkers, runners, cyclists (disused railway line flanking the river to next village of Dinnet) and golfers with courses at Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory. There are Highland Games in Ballater and Aboyne in August and the Braemar Gathering in September.
