It retains original features and is very spacious, with extra rooms presented as a dressing room and upstairs snug. The garden is enclosed by stone dykes, surrounding two small lawned areas and a unique pair of granite-columned hay barns, one with a gas BBQ and garden furniture. One corner becomes a perfect sun trap in the afternoon. The footpath to Cairnsmore of Fleet (2,333ft) and Sustrans cycle routes from the door make it an ideal base for the outdoor pursuits, wildlife and visiting Galloway's picturesque towns and villages.
