This charming holiday cottage by Loch Rannoch has glorious views of the loch and Schiehallion. It offers excellent accommodation for 4 people, and an extra person can stay on a fold-up bed in the sitting room.
This is a wonderfully situated self-catering cottage in highland Perthshire and is perfect for those on a walking holiday. The Rannoch Lodge estate's hill land is the start of the path to Ben Alder round Loch Ericht - a challenging climbers' path. There are more gentle walks nearby - through the hills to Ben Lawers, Glen Lyon and Schiehallion. Rannoch Moor is a wild landscape with a 14 mile walk over the most romantic barren waste to the Pass of Glencoe. The autumn colours at Loch Rannoch are amazing - making this a very popular spot for an autumn break.
Birdwatchers love coming here - there are a huge number of species in the area including a lot of birds of prey (ospreys are frequently sighted). If you want a get-away-from it all holiday then this is an ideal place to stay - extremely peaceful and where you can walk all day without seeing anyone.
