This is a traditional Scottish holiday house near the shores of Loch
Rannoch on the Rannoch Lodge Estate. The accommodation is
excellent and very warm and comfortable. It is a perfect highland
hideaway at the head of the loch. The lawns sweep down to the estate's
private jetty (boats can be hired from the estate) and glorious views
over Loch Rannoch to Schiehallion. There are 30 acres of woodland and
parkland to explore on the estate.
It is a perfect location if you are looking for holiday accommodation
for fishing - Loch Rannoch is well known for its wild brown trout and
you can fish from the cottage's shore without a licence.
There are two boats for hire and licences for
fishing from the boat can be obtained from the manager.
There are many things to do and see in the area. Walking and fishing
are obviously popular! A lovely day out from this cottage is to take
the train from Rannoch Station, across the moor to Mallaig - known as
one of the great train journeys of the world!
