Perthshire is a great base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. The village of Kirkmichael is set amidst beautiful scenery and is extremely popular with walkers. The Cateran Trail, an old drover's road passes through the village.

The area is great for those seeking thrills and adventure. There are at least 35 adventure activities in the surrounding area including rafting, paintballing and off road driving. The many rivers and lochs offer ample opportunities for the angler and there are several stables offering trekking and riding lessons nearby.

Perthshire is known as Big Tree Country because of its many beautiful tree specimens. There are many wonderful gardens in the area include the Hermitage at Dunkeld, Branklyn Garden in Perth and Dirnanean a little known gem just one mile from the apartment. You are well placed for an ideal opportunity for wildlife watching; red squirrels are often seen in the woods surrounding Kirkmichael.

Edradour, Scotland's smallest distillery is only ten miles away and offers free trips and tasting. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are near enough for a day trip and Royal Deeside too is very accessible - a lovely drive through Glenshee amid stunning mountain scenery. This is also an ideal place to stay if you want to ski in Scotland as the ski resort of Glenshee is just 10 miles away.

Accommodation:
This well equipped, comfortably furnished apartment is located in the village of Kirkmichael. It has a spacious sitting room with an attractive bay window overlooking the bridge over the River Ardle. There is a separate kitchen/diner, two twin bedrooms, one with a modern ensuite shower room, and one double bedroom. Also, a main modern bathroom with bath and shower. A selection of books, board games and simple toys are available for guests' use. To the rear of the property is a decked area with table and chairs.

Directions:-
From Perth take the A93 signed for Braemar. Follow the road through Blairgowrie and at Bridge of Cally turn left taking the A924 signed for Pitlochry - Kirkmichael is 7 miles from here. Alternatively, Kirkmichael can be approached from Pitlochry. Leave the main arterial A9 at Pitlochry and in the centre of the town turn right onto the A924 signed for Blairgowrie. Continue on the road until you reach Kirkmichael.

What's included:
Heating is included in the rental price. All bed linen and towels are provided and a welcome tray is there to greet you on arrival. There will be a friendly personal welcome and introduction to the apartment. Folding beds for children are available.
