Seacroft is a stunning modern chalet, available for holiday rentals situated at the mouth of Nostie Burn on the shores of Lochalsh. This property not only provides the perfect location for enjoying the peaceful tranquillity of the Scottish highlands, it also acts as an ideal base for discovering the spectacular attractions of Wester Ross, home to some of the UK's most remote land, undisturbed wildlife and breathtaking mountain views.
Overlooking the scenic shores of Lochalsh, Seacroft makes a fantastic retreat as it benefits from being wonderfully secluded whilst only being a short 6 miles from Kyle railway station and all local amenities. The charming and easily accessible village of Kyle has everything from shops, banks, supermarkets, superb eateries, a golf course and even a local swimming pool with spa and sauna facilities.
Kyle of Lochalsh, translated from the Scottish Gaelic Caol Loch Aillse, means strait of the foaming lake' and is situated across the water from the village of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. The Skye Bridge, built in 1995, allows incredibly easy access to the Isle of Skye where visitors can indulge their senses with magnificent views of the Cuillen Hills.
Seacroft also benefits from being only a short distance from the delightful seaside village of Plockton where you can experience palm trees and drink in the unadulterated beauty of roving highland cattle. Plockton is also home to the vibrant and bustling Plockton Hotel which proves to be very popular with locals and tourists alike.
Another superb attraction is the famous Eilean Donan Castle, which is only a stones throw from Seacroft and makes for a very pleasant outing. Eilean Donan Castle at Dornie is one of Highlands' most visited and quintessentially Scottish historical landmarks. Steeped in a rich and interesting history, the castle has undergone a series of rebuilds since it was first inhabited in the 6th century. The castle was partially destroyed in a 1717 Jacobite uprising and was not restored for a further 200 years. Fortunately the castle was re-opened in 1932 after being perfectly restored by Lt Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap. The castle is now open to the public and is a must-see for anybody visiting the area. Eilean Donan Castle also provides the perfect gateway and opportunity to travel the length of Loch Duich and take the historic military road to the quaint settlement of Glenelg.
Seacroft's spectacular panoramic views of the shores of Lochalsh are second to none. Views of some of the Five Sisters of Kintail are clearly visible form Seacroft's landscape windows as are the many deer roaming the Cluanie Estate. The location is not only stunningly beautiful but it also provides endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits including hill walking, horse riding, bird watching, mountain biking and much more. Seacroft really is a rambler's paradise!
