East End Cottage is in Lochcarron village and enjoys delightful views of Loch Carron itself. The village is on the north shore of the sea-loch, just off the road between Skye and Gairloch. Centrally located in the western Highlands, the village is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas. Lochcarron is a thriving rural community and has a shop, butcher, caf�, bistro/gift shop, two hotels with public bars, both serving local foods and real ales - ideal if you are on a self-catering holiday but don't want to cook!
Lochcarron is ideally located for exploring the Western Highlands and isles.
A short drive to the south, takes you to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye
Bridge. To the west and north are the delights of the Applecross Peninsula,
the Torridon mountain range, Beinn Eighe national nature reserve and Loch
Marie.
Activities in and around the village are plentiful, with walks, bike hire,
fishing (sea, loch and river) and golf all available.
Local wildlife is diverse. In and around the loch and village there is the
opportunity to view dolphins, seals, otters and varied bird life, including
golden and sea eagles. The hills and woods around the village has abundant
Red Deer and the elusive Pine Martin.

Accommodation:
East End Cottage is a traditional Scottish cottage with stunning views, overlooking Loch Carron and across to Attadale. It has been fully refurbished to a high standard.
The cottage has two bedrooms on the first floor, one double and one twin, also has a cot suitable for an infant. On the ground floor, there is an open plan living/dining room equipped with sofa and two easy chairs, TV/DVD, stereo and a dining table for six. This leads to the kitchen and bathroom to the rear of the property. The kitchen is fully fitted and includes fridge/freezer, electric oven/hob and dishwasher, and is well equipped. The bathroom features a bath with over shower, washbasin and WC. There is also a small cupboard between the kitchen and bathroom that contains a washing machine.
East End Cottage benefits from oil fired central heating throughout with thermostatically controlled radiators. Outside, there is off road parking, as well as an on road space in front of the house. There is a small garden to the front of the property and to the rear a raised decking area affords an excellent seating area overlooking the loch.
Directions:
Take the A9 north to Inverness, over Kessock Bridge and follow A835 (signed Ullapool) to Garve. Turn left onto A832 (Signed Gairloch) to Achnasheen. Turn left onto A890 signed Lochcarron. Cottage is next door to the Lochcarron Hotel.
What's included:
The heating is included in the rental price. All bed linen and towels are provided. Pets are not permitted and the property is strictly no smoking.

This traditional cottage is rented out year round - Saturday to Saturday bookings.
Checking in time is after 3pm and checking out is by 10am.
