This delightful former croft enjoys a fabulous elevated position on the
lovely Western Isle of Harris. The views are gorgeous over the loch and sea in
one direction and towards the mountains and the famous St Clements church in
another. This is a very tranquil cottage by the sea, only 4 miles from the
unspoilt, white sandy beaches of Harris - possibly the most beautiful in
Scotland.
Harris is one of the most lovely of the Western Isles (as the Outer Hebrides
are now called). Seals can be spotted in the Sound of Harris and you can see
golden eagles from the cottage garden. Fishing and walking are the most
popular activities here - but there is also a golf course a few miles away. The
Golden Road starts at Rodel and you can follow it all the way to Tarbert, on
Harris's east coast. Surfing and water sports are also available. The Isle of
Harris has a dramatic, rocky landscape on the east and the west coast has
breathtakingly beautiful beaches. A holiday in the Outer Hebridies is unlike any
other - the perfect place to unwind with welcoming friendly Gaelic people.

This beautifully renovated former croft has 2 twin bedrooms, a separate kitchen with a table for eating and a spacious sitting room. It has been rated 4 star by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Rodel and the cottage is in the south
5 min by car from Leverborough (ferries from Barra and Uists Islands)
or
25min by car from Tarbert (ferries from Skye).

Cost and availability.
The cottage is rented out year round. Short breaks are welcome off
season.
Rental periods are generally a week, Saturday to Saturday.
Checking in time is 4pm and checking out is 10am but other times will be accommodated if possible.
