Situated in a peaceful location in the popular village of Drumnadrochit with views of Loch Ness, this setting is one of the most celebrated holiday destinations in the UK. Centrally situated so that you can make trips to the north, east or west coasts returning comfortably each day - this is an ideal base for exploring the Scottish highlands. At the loch, one has a chance to glimpse �Nessie�, the world famous Loch Ness Monster!
Drumnadrochit itself boasts the historic site of Urquhart Castle, The Loch Ness Exhibition, tourist information centres, craft and gift shops, superb local eateries, post office and hotels. The location affords access to many of the most popular attractions in the area including The Caledonian Canal visitor centre, Culloden Battlefield, Glen Affric, Fort Augustus, The Whisky Trail, Nairn, The Black Isle, Aviemore, and the Isle of Skye to name a few. Magical lochs, gushing waterfalls and mysterious mountains are all a short drive away. The cottage is situated just 14 miles south of Inverness, the city in the highlands: attractions here include a castle, cathedral, museum, excellent shops, leisure centre, theatre and a selection of fine restaurants.
The area offers a wide range of leisure and sporting activities including hill walking and climbing with terrains to suit all, heritage and wildlife trails, birdwatching, loch and dolphin cruises, water sports, canoeing, golfing, horseriding, mountain biking, paragliding, hunting, shooting and fishing trips for trout and salmon. You can even be skiing on the Nevis range in less than an hour and a half�s drive from the cottage!

Accommodation:
A recently built cottage in its own grounds with ample parking, completely modernised to provide comfortable self catering accommodation. Consisting of two twin-bedded rooms, a living room with TV, large comfortable sofa and easy chairs, a modern fully fitted kitchen with microwave, washing machine and dining area, and modern bathroom with electric shower over bath.
The cottage has full �Total heat� control with double glazing so you will be very cosy whatever time of year you visit. At the rear there is a small garden and patio with barbeque, garden furniture and secure shed. A seating area set in a rock garden sits at the front of the property - relax here and hope to spot the Loch Ness Monster! There are views of Loch Ness from the house and garden and woodland walks immediately on doorstep.
Directions:
From Inverness take the A82 Inverness � Fort William road. Drumnadrochit is 14 miles south of Inverness. Proceed through the village until you observe a large white building (supermarket) on the right. Immediately turn right into Balmacaan Road. Continue to the top of Balmacaan Road, do not turn left but proceed for a further 200-300 metres. An Clachan is on your left. Travelling from Fort William, turn left at the supermarket into Balmaccan Road.

The cottage is let on a weekly basis with change over day on a Saturday. Check in time is 2pm and check out is 10am.
