Drumlanrig Cottage is part of a pretty converted steading set in the beautiful Dumfries-shire countryside. Though it is a very unspoilt and quiet part of Scotland, it has a wealth of attractions to visit, as well as wonderful walking and birdwatching. Dumfries-shire is a cyclists paradise. There are many quiet cycling tracks around Drumlanrig Castle as well as quiet roads and lanes in the area, so you can explore the stunning countryside without using your car. It's also a popular place for horse-riding and there are excellent riding stables just minutes away, and there is also riding in the nearby Forest of Ae.
This holiday cottage group has an indoor swimming pool, table tennis table, multi-gym, pool table, sauna and children's play area - there are also free bicycles, golf clubs and fishing rods to use. This is great location for a holiday with children as there are so many fantastic facilities on hand that you don't need to leave the site!
Dumfries and Galloway is a very pretty part of Scotland with lots to see in the area including Drumlanrig Castle (home of the Duke of Buccleuch) which has some wonderful furniture, porcelain and paintings and beautiful gardens; the Solway Coast; Caerlaverock Castle, Ellisland Farm to name a few. You will be enchanted by the beauty and tranquility of the countryside here.

The holiday property is all on the ground floor so perfect for less mobile guests. It comprises of a double bedroom, a twin room, bathroom (with shower over bath), sitting-room with dining area, well-appointed kitchen and hall. There are patio doors leading out of the sitting room to a patio area with BBQ, perfect for warm days!
