The Old Byre one of six cottages in beautifully restored barns, set round a
delightful courtyard. All the accommodation at East Lochhead is of the
highest quality - they have 4 stars from the Scottish Tourist Board, the
AA's 5 diamonds Premier Selected rating, and a Gold rating from the STB for
Green Tourism.
The Old Byre has fabulous views over a loch and is very well appointed
accommodation, which sleeps 6. The conservatory leads out to the garden and
is a wonderful place to sit in the evening with a drink whilst admiring the
Scottish countryside.
This is a perfect location if you want to explore Glasgow, with its great
museums and art galleries, as it is only 25 minutes from the city centre.
It is also ideally situated for a cycling holiday as the National Cycle
Route 7, Glasgow to Carlisle, passes East Lochhead. There is even a
surfaced access directly from the cottages onto the Cycle Route.

Accommodation:
Upstairs is a double and twin bedroom, and a shower room with toilet,
bidet and wash basin. Downstairs is a further twin bedroom and bathroom, an
open-plan kitchen, and a dining and sitting area with a conservatory and
French windows opening into the garden. There is a communal large washer and
dryer also available for guests. Recycling of waste is strongly encouraged.
Directions:
East Lochhead is south west of Glasgow, situated on the A760, one mile west
of the village of Lochwinnoch. Only 20 minutes from Largs, the Clyde Coast
and island ferries, and 15 minutes from Glasgow Airport. It is close to the
motorway network so has easy access from England and the rest of Scotland.

Rental peroids are generally Saturday-Saturday; arrival 4pm and
