This delightful, historic cottage is in the conservation village of Kingsbarns and was built c1750. It is spacious and has been superbly restored into ideal Fife holiday accommodation. Golf is the obvious attraction if you are staying near St Andrews on holiday - there are numerous fabulous championship courses (the Old Course comes immediately to mind!) and challenging links golf courses by the sea - including the new Kingsbarns Links Golf Course on the doorstep. St Andrews is known as the home of golf and this is a perfect cottage to rent if you are on a golfing vacation in Scotland.

The East Neuk of Fife is also a great place for a family holiday by the sea - Brier Cottage is just a few minutes walk from one of the many blue flag beaches in the area - miles of golden sand to make sandcastles and explore the rock pools. There is so much to see and visit in Fife - whether you have children or not: St Andrews Aquarium, Deep Sea World, Scotland�s Secret Bunker, Falkland Palace, Scottish Deer Centre and the British Golf Museum to name a few. The fishing villages of Crail, Anstruther and Pittenweem are delightful and have some excellent art galleries and restaurants - the excellent bar/restaurant Barns at Kingsbarns is literally 2 minutes walk from the front door.

The Fife Coastal Path passes through Kingsbarns and you can enjoy amazing views as you follow the cliffs to Crail. The Millennium Cycle Path is also a great attraction in Fife - beautiful countryside to explore on two wheels. There is also fishing, riding and pony trekking, and great watersports at Elie.

This delightful holiday cottage near St Andrews is all on the ground floor so is great for those of limited mobility. The sitting room is very spacious and the multi-fuel stove makes for a very cosy ambience. There is also a separate dining room. The spacious double bedroom is delightful as is the twin room, which has an ensuite WC. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and very well equipped. The garden is delightful and perfect for relaxing in or having a BBQ. Brier Cottage is a perfect self-catering rental cottage for a relaxing holiday near St Andrews.
