This spacious, light and airy holiday house provides a superb base for a
groups of friends or a family vacation. Pittenweem is one of many
picturesque old fishing villages along the Firth of Forth, you may wish
to explore others such as Crail, Elie and Anstruther. This is a great
holiday destination for golfers as there are many famous golf courses
around St Andrews, including challenging links courses at Kingsbarns,
Crail and Elie, or the Old Course itself! The East Neuk of the Kingdom
of Fife is a particularly family-friendly part of Scotland, being only
one hour from the capital Edinburgh, but with many blue-flag beaches and
watersports on offer on the doorstep.
Among favourite tourist
attractions are the Scottish Deer Centre, St Andrews Castle and
Cathedral, The British Golf Museum, The Crail Heritage Museum, Falkland
Palace, Kellie Castle and the Aquarium at St Andrews. To relax and
escape the kitchen, there are a wonderful selection of high quality
seafood restaurants and quaint pubs in the locality.
You may choose to travel across the Forth Bridges to see a range of
sights such as Edinburgh Castle, Dynamic Earth, the Royal Yacht
Britannia or just to spend time at the Edinburgh International Festival
and Fringe in August, or explore the myriad of shops along Princes
Street.
Apart from The Pittenweem Arts Festival at the beginning of August, the
local area also offers many other special events and festivals, such as
the Ceres Highland Games, the RAF Show at Leuchars, or the Leven Vintage
Car Rally.
