Tranquility is a delightful small holiday cottage overlooking the pretty
harbour in Pittenweem. Fishing boats still operate from here so there is
plenty to look at and fresh fish and seafood available straight from the
sea. The accommodation is on the ground floor of a perfect 17th century
Grade A listed property. It has been sympathetically restored recently, and
won the Saltire Award from the National Trust of Scotland. The views from
the apartment are gorgeous - across Pittenweem harbour and over the Firth of
Forth.
This luxurious self-catering accommodation is superbly located for a
relaxing holiday 'escape'. If you are bringing your baby with you then a cot
and high chair can be provided and there is plenty of room to store your
buggy and all the equipment babies need! This is a very baby-friendly cottage and is also an ideal honeymoon cottage. Boasting magnificent sea and
harbour views from almost all windows, this historic holiday home also has a wealth
of charm and character with exposed timber ceiling beams throughout.
Pittenweem is a great place for crafts, arts and antiques with lots of small
shops selling interesting things. You can walk the Fife Coastal Path, enjoy
Fife's Millenium Cycle Way as well as play on top class golf courses (St
Andrews with the famous Old Course is close by). Fife's beaches are fabulous
and there are plenty of opportunities for water sports nearby. With so much
to see and do within a few miles of Tranquility, you will be hard pressed to
fit everything in - many guests don't go far away from Pittenweem as they
enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere here.
