Emsdorf Place is situated in the quiet, picturesque village of Lundin Links, located only ten miles from St Andrews. The location of this property offers an idyllic holiday experience in one of the East Neuk's most visited and diversified locales. The coastal scene of Largo Bay with its sandy beaches and golf courses, lying in the shadow of the old volcanic mound of Largo Law, forms an attractive setting for the old villages of Lundin Links, Upper Largo and Lower Largo. Consequently Lundin Links has always been a favourite of vacationers and especially golfers. The Lundin Links course was designed in 1868 and today is of the required standard to hold the qualifying rounds of the Open Championship when it is held in St. Andrews.

The village itself has many shops: newsagents/grocery, post office, butcher, hairdresser, photographer/gallery and the grand Lundin Link�s Hotel with an excellent menu, and reputation for fine service and Scottish Single Malts. Five minute�s walk in the opposite direction to Lower Largo offers equally impressive fare at the Crusoe Hotel, and a fine pub �The Railway Inn� which offers real ales, simple sandwiches, and a great steak pie.

Golf in walking proximity includes the Open qualifying course of Lundin Links, not to mention the adjacent historic �World�s Oldest Ladies� 9 hole course dotted with ancients stones and ruined towers from ancient times (men now welcome); in addition to nearby Scoonie in Leven, with others (Elie, Anstruther, Crail, Kingsbarns, and St Andrews) located between four and ten miles.

Lower Largo (the birthplace of Robinson Crusoe), the beach and access to the Fife Coastal Path linking the East Neuk's many popular seaside villages is only a few minutes walk from this lovely self-catering accommodation, with access to numerous other local walking routes including Largo Law within easy reach.

Fresh fish can be purchased locally throughout the year (live lobster and crab can also be purchased at reasonable rates at most times. Please enquire.) Popular local activities include fishing and sailing in Lower Largo. A modern indoor swimming facility complete with a wave pool and water slides is located nearby in Leven town centre along the esplanade. Craigtown Park outside St Andrews offers splendid picnic grounds, row boats, miniature golf, and many child zone activity attractions in relaxed and pleasant, unhurried surroundings - a great day for families at little cost.

Windsurfing, paddle boats, and sailing are available during the summer months in Elie, 4 miles. Dundee and Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, are easily reached being around 40 minutes by car.

Accommodation:
Incorporating a blend of the modern and traditional the cottage has an open concept living room / kitchen, modern lighting, an Edwardian gas fireplace alongside the conveniences of a fan assisted oven, gas hob, and dishwasher. Emsdorf Place has a large double bedroom, one double bedroom with 2 twin beds, and a double bed settee in the sittingroom. There is a single bathroom with a large walk-in shower equipped to modern standards. All of the furnishings throughout the dwelling are chosen for their comfort and the kitchen is equipped to a high standard. Outside there is a secluded, shared garden that is enclosed by mature hedges, which sees little use by the other party of interest.

Location:
From Edinburgh or Glasgow, cross the Forth Bridge heading for Perth and exit the M90 at J2A, signposted Glenrothes / Kirkcaldy. The road merges into the A92. The A92 ends at a large roundabout, follow signs to Leven (3rd exit on roundabout) and then the A915. Proceed through Leven on the A915 and arrive at the next town Lundin Links. Turn right at Emsdorf Road before the Lundin Links Hotel. 9 Emsdorf Place is on your left following the bend in the road. Parking (which is readily found) can be anywhere in the vicinity (e.g. Emsdorf Road or Woodlands Road).

The cottage is rented out year round.
Lets are Saturday - Saturday. Check in time is 4:00 pm and departures at 10:00 am unless by special arrangement.

Deposit:�100 deposit required to secure rental week. Balance in full 6 weeks prior to reserved week. �100 security deposit held in trust (e.g. UK cheque), returned upon satisfactory inspection of property following departure.
