Generations of Scots consider Elie their second home. Set within the East Neuk of Fife, the pretty small town overlooks a wide crescent of golden sand, which is also a safe and award winning beach.
One of several charming fishing villages including Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and St Monans which encircle the East Neuk and within easy drive of St Andrews, Elie offers sailing, surfing, golf and tennis, with plenty to offer visitors of all ages. Perfect as a holiday destination for children whatever the weather, visitor attractions close by are the famous St Andrews Golf links, the adjacent Sea Life Centre, and Anstruther�s Fisheries Museum. In winter, the town offers good cosy pubs, brisk walks and marvellous visual seascapes.

Accommodation:
Downstairs has a handy entrance porch with room for kicking off sandy shoes, wellies, and storing buckets and spades.
This leads into an atmospheric, traditional entrance hall with wonderful old pine banisters.
The sitting room is a true garden room; bright, comfy and overlooking the garden, west-facing to catch the afternoon and evening sun.
There is ample seating, flatscreen television with Freeview box with DVD player, rows of books and games to play when the skies are cloudy.
Also there is the original fireplace but with easy coal effect gas fire.
The dining room is furnished with an old table and six chairs, expanding through wide French doors into a conservatory equipped with table and four basket chairs.
Perfect for breakfast on a sunny morning. The kitchen/breakfast room is supplied with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and gas cooker,
and generously equipped with ample cooking implements for creating delicious meals, including some recipe books.
The cloakroom with downstairs loo and basin, also has the washing machine and central heating combi boiler.
Upstairs is the master bedroom situated above the sitting room. This sunny, spacious room has a wide view of the beach and the sea; watch the sun set in summer. There is a double bed and lots of hanging space and storage and some pretty antique furniture.
Bedroom 2 is a charmingly decorated room with twin beds and ample storage. Bedroom 3 has adult size bunk beds with a large window and sea view, again, there is ample storage. The family bathroom is a generous sized bathroom with overhead shower, loo and basin.
Location:
Cross the Forth Road Bridge and take Exit 2a off the M90 to Kirkcaldy. Follow signs for the A915 to Leven and on to Upper Largo. After Upper Largo take the A917 to Elie. As you come into the centre of the village, turn right at the crossroads by the church. Fountain Road is the first turning to the left, just before the Post Office.

This cottage by the sea is rented out year round.
Rental periods are Saturday-Saturday: arrival 4pm and departure at 10am. Short breaks are available in the winter months. Sometimes last minute bookings are discounted
