The property is situated in the centre of the village of Crail. Increasingly popular with holidaymakers, Crail is the most photographed and arguably the most attractive fishing port in the East Neuk of Fife.
The area is a haven for water sports enthusiasts and also golfers with so many magnificent courses nearby. The closest of these being Balcombie Links situated in Crail itself and having the accolade of being the 7th oldest golf course in the world (locals agree that it is also one of the best!). St Andrews is only 15 minutes by car and the world-renowned Michelin star restaurant, The Peat Inn, is only a short drive away too (early booking is recommended).
With sea views from the upper floor of the cottage, the famous Crail harbour is literally 2 minutes walk from the front door. The harbour is a good starting point for beautiful walks along the Fife Coastal Path and often you will have the chance to buy fresh lobster from the day's catch. The Golf Hotel is less than a few minutes walk away and is one of the best traditional Scottish pubs in the area. The local Co-Op across the road provides everything you'll need for a self-catering holiday, with a local butcher and baker next door too!

Accommodation:
54 High Street is a typical Scottish fishing cottage dating back 400 years. It was extensively renovated in the 1960s by the National Trust for Scotland. It has recently been transformed into a two storey flat in exceptional condition with high quality fittings throughout.
The first floor has a sitting room,
kitchen, luxurious bathroom with power shower and double bedroom. Stairs lead to a large landing with seating area and a further twin bedroom and equally luxurious bathroom. This layout allows two couples or families with older children sharing the flat to enjoy the privacy of a room and bathroom on separate floors each having their own space in what is a very open and airy cottage.
The living room has a real effect gas fire which is cosy in winter, with windows looking onto both the High Street at the front and the beautiful garden at the rear, letting in lots of light and giving lovely views. The sofa bed has a memory foam mattress so is very comfortable. There is a dining table in the living room and breakfast bar in the kitchen for meals. Every mod-con is included to ensure you want for nothing on your holiday!
Outside is a garden, complete with summerhouse and patio area for eating al fresco on those hot summer nights.
Directions:
