Glamping - glamorous camping - is a new trend and enables you to stay in comfort whilst enjoying the freedom of the great outdoors. This Tibetan yurt is located on a 140 acre estate, 20 miles to the west of Aberdeen city centre, and is situated in a wildflower meadow frequented by deer, badgers, rabbits, bees and butterflies. At night you can watch the bats dart overhead and listen to the call of the owls in the forest. Both the meadow and the woods are a haven for birds, from pheasants to buzzards, swallows and swifts. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife.
Logie is about 4 miles from Inverurie, located in the valley of the River Don at the centre of Aberdeenshire. The town sits between the River Don and the River Ury and is only 10 miles from the imposing hill of Bennachie. Its central location makes it an ideal touring base. Within an hour's drive are the delightful and picturesque villages of the Moray coast, the coastal towns of Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Stonehaven and the scenic splendour of Strathdon and Royal Deeside.
There is a wide range of sporting and leisure facilities available in and around Inverurie. The town has an 18 hole golf course with a number of other courses and two practise ranges within a ten mile radius. There is a swimming pool with fitness and sports centres and angling is available on the Rivers Don and Ury. Other activities include bowling, clay pigeon shooting and mountain biking.
The location is great for walking, fishing, golf, castles, hill walking, distilleries, eating out and wildlife. Inverurie has pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Further afield is skiing, beaches and everything that Scotland has to offer.
