Garden Cottage is situated in the private grounds of Finzean Estate, midway between Banchory and Aboyne. Finzean House was once the home of Joseph Farquharson, the famous Victorian landscape painter, and you can walk through the countryside he loved and painted. Finzean is situated in the beautiful Feugh valley, with its varied scenery of woodlands and hills and an abundance of wildlife.
There are many glorious walks on the estate and elsewhere in Royal Deeside, excellent golf courses nearby, pony trekking and skiing are easily accessible. Deeside is famous for its castles and several National Trust properties are close at hand. Trout fishing is available on several miles of the Feugh and the A'an and salmon fishing can be arranged on the Dee. Shooting and stalking are available on the estate - enquire for more details. As a wonderful extra in a self-catering cottage Finzean House tennis court is available for guests to use.

Accommodation:
This luxury holiday cottage set in the gardens of Finzean House and has a stunning interior. On the ground floor is a large and bright kitchen/dining room with 2 oven range cooker, built under fridge, freezer and washing machine; and table and chairs to seat six. The spacious sitting room has a wood burning stove (very cosy and romantic) and a TV/video.
On the first floor is a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a modern bathroom - they are all beautifully appointed. The cottage is fully equipped and centrally heated.
The extensive gardens of Finzean House are available for guests to use, as is the tennis court.
There is a sheltered patio area just outside the cottage with garden table and chairs - ideal for al fresco dining on warm days!

Finzean House is situated west of Finzean village on the B976, between Aboyne and Banchory.

All linen, towels and VAT are included.
Cost:
Rental periods are generally Saturday-Saturday, arrival after 4pm and
departure by 10am - every effort will be made to accommodate other times. Short breaks are welcome off season.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept under strict control.
