The lovely self-catering cottage is situated in the small seaside town of North Berwick, 20 miles east of Edinburgh. It is a delightful 3 bedroom, traditional stone-built property, recently refurbished to the highest standards and well equipped throughout, with views across North Berwick golf course and the sea. It is ideal for golf holidays in Scotland! There are 19 golf courses for every standard of player all within a small radius. There are championship golf courses nearby, including the prestigious Muirfield, also Gullane 1,2,3, and North Berwick.

The East Lothian coastline covers miles of empty beaches, beautiful sand dunes and exceptional bird life from Aberlady Bay bird life sanctuary all the way to the Tyne estuary at Dunbar; including Gullane beach, Yellowcraigs, North Berwick, Seacliff and the beautiful Tyninghame beach. The Scottish Seabird centre is on the doorstep and you can observe the Bass Rock, the largest gannet colony in the world. Sea fishing trips are available from North Berwick harbour. Diving is very popular in the area especially off May Island. The Museum of Flight is 3 miles from North Berwick where Concorde can be toured - a great day out! Tantallon and Direlton castles provide a spectacular taste of the region's history. There are a wide range of inns, bistros and restaurants in North Berwick, all within walking distance.

Other attractions include: John Muir Way,John Muir Park, East Links family park in Dunbar, Myreton Motor Museum, Musselburgh race course, Go Cart centre at Gladsmuir, Glenkinchie Distillery, Belhaven Brewery, walking in the Lammermuir hills, and great cycle routes. This part of East Lothian has a huge range of diverse attractions and sights for all ages and is a perfect location for a holiday in Scotland - whether you want to play golf or not!

Accommodation:
You enter the holiday cottage through the entrance lobby with coat hanging space, to the well-quipped kitchen and small dining area with dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, freezer and larder area.

There is a spacious shower room with WC, heated towel rail, vanity unit, shaver socket. Understairs storage for golf clubs and plenty of hanging space. There is a very comfortable sitting room with open fire and dining area, satellite TV, DVD, CD and DAB radio - a great place to relax after a day on the golf course! Upstairs there are three bedrooms. Two with zip and link beds, plenty of storage space sunny rooms with views to the front. A master bedroom with panoramic views across North Berwick golf course and beyond. There is a further original Art Deco bathroom with new shower unit over bath, heated towel rail, and shaver socket. To the front of the property is a small private south facing patio area with table & chairs. Parking is on the road directly outside. Due to ornamental ponds at the front, Craigend Cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Location:
From the A1 and turn onto the A199, turn right on the A198 and follow into North Berwick. Carry on the A198 Dunbar road, turn left onto Saint Baldred's Road, carry straight on to Clifford Road and Station Road, at the end of Station Road go straight on to York Road, which becomes Cromwell Road. Craigend Cottage is on the right. Nearby towns are Dunbar, East Linton and Haddington.

All bed linen, duvets, towels, dish-towels, central heating, hot water and electricity are included in the price.

Cost and availability.
Rental periods are generally arrival 4 pm departure 10 am - every effort will be made to accommodate alternative times. Short-breaks are available. Changeover date for weekly lets is Saturday.
