This spacious and beautifully designed highland lodge sits in an acre of walled garden in the north west of Scotland. The landscape is breathtaking, with picturesque Loch Broom nearby and the mountains behind the house providing a perfect backdrop. This large holiday house (sleeps 9) provides an idyllic highland hideaway for families wanting to explore the west coast of Scotland - white sandy beaches, hills to climb, fishing and lots of walking - it is an outdoor paradise for children and adults.

The house is tastefully furnished and has the feel of a traditional highland lodge, yet it was built in 2003 so has all the comforts of modern plumbing and heating. There is also an open fire so you can relax after a day in the hills in the traditional way (with a large dram!). The views from the house are stunning and it is equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay.

The Ullapool area is a great centre from which to explore this remote part of Scotland. There are plenty of places to visit nearby - Applecross, with its ancient monastery; Gairloch, with amazing unspoilt beaches and musuem; Inverewe Gardens, the National Trust for Scotland's magnificent tropical gardens; Summer Isle Foods at Achiltibuie where you can see a traditional smoke-house at work. From the harbour at Ullapool you can take a boat trip to the Summer Isles and watch dolphins, porpoises and otters - a magical sight. The whole of the north west of Scotland has spectacular areas to walk in - Loch Torridon and the Corrieshalloch Gorge National Nature Reserve are particularly beautiful. The beaches of the west coast of Scotland are among the finest in the world and are empty expanses of white sand, with rocky pools for children to mess around in.
