Indeed there are over 100 golf courses within an hour�s drive of St Andrews making it the ideal centre for a golf vacation in Scotland. St Andrews besides being the mecca for golfing holidays is a haven for all types of holiday and is an ideal base for a self catering holiday with lots to do in the immediate area.

It surprises many visitors to find how much there is to do in St Andrews that doesn't necessarily involve golf. Accommodation:
The upper flat, Old Admiralty House has has undergone a major refurbishment programme in 2007. This is the ultimate luxury self-catering holiday destination in St Andrews, accommodating up to six persons in three double or twin rooms. Two of these are en-suite (shower rooms) and in addition there is a family bathroom with separate shower.

The galley kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The dining area with table for six is adjacent. A washing machine and tumble drier are located at ground floor level adjacent to the main door entrance. The living room has seating for six with mood-lighting and occasional furniture. The outlook is sensational with stunning sea views from the living area and bedroom two. Bedroom three has sea and garden views and master bedroom one has views to the private garden to the rear.

Location:
From Edinburgh follow signs to the Forth Road Bridge on the A90. Cross the Forth Road Bridge onto the M90 and follow the road north. Exit at junction 8 onto the A91 and follow the signs for Cupar/St Andrews. Journey time from Edinburgh is approximately 1 hour.

Cost and availability:
This St Andrews cottage is rented out year round. Change over day is Saturday. Checkout by 10am - Check in after 4pm. Short breaks are can be requested subject to availability.
